The following probes are now supported in cineProfiler 2.7.1:

X-Rite
  • Eye-One Display2 / LT *
  • Eye-One Pro
  • Hubble

Konica Minolta
  • CS-100A
  • CS-200
  • CS-1000

Photo Research
  • PR-655
  • PR-670
  • PR-680
  • PR-705
  • PR-715

Others
  • HP DreamColor colorimeter (OEM version of the X-Rite Eye-One Display2 with optimised filters for the DreamColor monitor) *
  • LaCie blue eye 2 (OEM version of the X-Rite Eye-One Display2) *
  • Sencore OTC-1000 (OEM version of the X-Rite Hubble)

* Cannot be used for Output Independent Profiling (OIP)

For calibration of graphic workstation monitors we recommend the X-Rite Eye-One Display2. For profiling of video monitors and digital projectors we recommend the X-Rite Hubble. Due to drivers for the Hubble currently being unavailable on OS X and Linux this device is only supported on Windows (we recommend using the probeServer utility or the Cine-tal hardware integration when profiling non-Windows systems).

Please note that although the spectral-based devices (such as the Photo Research probes) may provide slightly more precise readings, measurement times are quite long and in some cases the probe may not be sensitive enough to take black level readings (e.g. PR-655).
